What are the different sticker rarity types?

CS2 stickers come in six variants: Paper (most common), Holo (holographic), Glitter (sparkle effect), Foil (metallic reflective), Gold (rarest tournament variant), and Lenticular (newest, with a 3D depth effect). Each variant has different visual effects and value.

Can I remove stickers from weapons?

Stickers can be scraped off weapons, but they are destroyed in the process and cannot be recovered. Each scrape removes about 20% of the sticker. Think carefully before applying expensive stickers to weapon skins!

How often are new sticker capsules released?

New capsules are typically released during major tournaments. CS2 Majors happen roughly twice per year, and each event introduces new tournament and team stickers. Community operations also release special capsules periodically.

Which stickers are the best investment?

Older major stickers, especially from Katowice 2014 and early tournaments, have historically appreciated significantly. Limited rarity variants (especially Holo and Foil from older majors) tend to hold and gain value better than common Paper stickers.

How much do stickers cost?

Sticker prices range from under $0.10 for common Paper stickers to thousands of dollars for rare Holo/Foil stickers from early majors. Tournament capsules typically cost around $1-2 to open, but the stickers inside can vary wildly in value.

Are there signed stickers from pro players?

Yes! Every major tournament releases autograph capsules containing stickers signed by professional players. These come in Paper, Holo, Glitter, Foil, and Gold variants. Autographs from legendary players command premium prices.

What is the difference between Paper and Holo stickers?

Paper stickers have a flat matte finish. Holo stickers feature a holographic rainbow effect that shifts with viewing angle. Holos are significantly rarer and more valuable. The rarity progression goes: Paper, Holo, Glitter, Foil, Gold, Lenticular.

Can sticker prices drop?

Yes, sticker prices can fluctuate based on supply and demand, game updates, and market conditions. Newer stickers often drop in price after the initial hype fades. However, stickers from discontinued tournaments tend to appreciate over time as supply decreases.
